Once in a blue moon, when I have time for it I go for a walk with my dog. Röfike is an adorable French bulldog who has his own personality, and who was very happy when I took the leash and brought him to the Danube. Although we’ve been living in Tököl for more than one and a half years, during our walk I have discovered amazing spots that I wasn’t aware of before.
The next day I was photographing Dóri & Józsi’s love story (or as they call it in the photographing business engagement session) and brought them there. I came to know them from the start as a very fair and determined couple, I really liked their attitude from the very beginning. Józsi was quite interested in the pictures weeks before the actual work, so we discussed our ideas and the details many times in e-mail and on the phone. And then the day came and the pictures were taken. Below you can read Dóri’s words about it.

“We’ve started to think about who’d be our weeding photographer at the very beginning of organizing our wedding. We thought that no matter how nice would our weeding be, we would like to rely on more than just the wonderful memories. We thought that it is outmost important to have pictures too to be able to really relive the most precious moments of this day.
We didn’t want anything to happen by chance, so we started watching photographers’ homepages and ask for recommendations at the very beginning of the organization.
That’s how we’ve found the pictures of Zoltán Redl-Nagy, and they’ve spoken for themselves.
The only thing to do was to contact him.
During the exchange of e-mails we realized that we won’t only get the wedding photos but we will get a so-called engagement session as well. We liked the idea very much because this way we could see before the wedding how we can work together with Zoltán, and how we would look like on his pictures.
We were pretty sure that we’d be very anxious on the Special Day, so it was a great opportunity to meet our photographer earlier to help us avoid having our photos taken in a straight and rigid way. This way we could also get to know each other and both sides knew what to expect from the other.
During the engagement session we could see how Zoltán works, what postures and settings suit us the best, and we discussed the basic good to know things, which helped us to get pictures which would look more natural.
We warmed up pretty quickly during the photographing, and we could pay attention to each other as no one else would’ve been there.
When choosing the spot our pick was self-evident, because of my husband’s hobby that it has to be a waterscape. As we’re living in the south part of Budapest, we were thinking about the part of the river Danube which is between Szigetszentmiklós, Tököl and Ráckeve. At that part there are many tour-routes and reservations. It was also a significant factor when choosing the spot that Józsi doesn’t really like crowded places, so we ruled most of the city and town spots out in the first place.
On the day of the photographing Zoltán was waiting for us with a big surprise, namely that he found the ideal spot for our pictures. And he was right! It was the spot we were always dreaming of, so it was easy for us from the beginning to literally lose ourselves to the beauty of it.
As it was early autumn, we wanted to have the sunset also captured on some of our pictures as well, which I think worked out just fine.
We’ve had a great time and the results were perfect as well. Thank you for the memorable day and for presenting us with these wonderful pictures!
Regards,
Dóri”
I liked the place so much that a few days later I took some pictures for a magazine too.
